About Year 6

In Year 6 P.E. and outdoor learning are on Thursdays.
Homework will be set every Tuesday. It needs to be handed in by the following Tuesday.

Every week children in Year 6 need to:

  • Read 5 times a week and complete the online reading record.
    Please follow the link: https://go-read.co.uk/ Parents can sign this with their own log in

  • Log onto TTRS 3 times a week

  • Complete a weekly Google Classroom activity will be set by Mrs Kelly.

  • Weekly spellings on Purple Mash

  • Share the Wednesday Word Gospel reading and complete the activities

Additional homework will be set in Year 6 when deemed necessary.

IXL have separate pages of skills linked to individual Year group.  The Y6 page has links to practise both English and Maths skills.  Pages are then split into skills of which has a practise question for the children to think about.

BBC Education have produced a whole host of materials for KS2.  Follow the KS2 link and then select either Maths or English.   Each area usually has an information section for reading, plus an activity and then quiz which is marked online.  Some aspects require a subscription.
