SEND Statement

At Holy family every child is loved and valued, reflected in our school mission, ‘As a family we live, love, learn and celebrate with Jesus.’ Our school values of Trust, Honesty, Sharing, Acceptance and Family are at the heart of all we do to enable all pupils to thrive and achieve their God-given potential.

Inclusivity is at the heart of our Catholic mission, central to this is support for pupils with special education needs (SEN) to ensure all children receive the education they are entitled to in order to progress both academically, socially and emotionally.

This is achieved by working in collaboration with our parents, as every child’s first teacher.  We work together to provide personalised learning plans, within a nurturing learning environment whilst having high expectations for all children; regardless of their starting points.

Driven by research informed practices, we provide high quality teaching, knowing that this is vital for all pupils, but especially those with SEN. We aim to remove the barriers to learning and participation to promote high standards for all.If you have a question or would like to discuss your child’s needs, then please email Mrs Angela Micklethwaite at: sendco@holyfamily.herts.sch.uk
